It’s the oldest Canadian football championship.  On the second Saturday in November each of the CJFL teams hope they are the ones hoisting junior football’s Holy Grail.

The Baron Championship Rings Canadian Bowl has seen some unbelievable moments and displays of true determination.

For the first time since 1999 the Okanagan Sun and the St. Clair Saints (formally the Windsor AKO Fratmen) will square off for the Canadian Bowl when these two kick off on Saturday November 9th.

That season the Saints organization were victory 32-29. It’s also the last time a team from Ontario has won the CJFL national championship title.

These two did meet for the 2022 CJFL National Semi-Final at St. Clair with the Sun winning 42-24 in a game that was a lot closer than the final score indicates.

That season the Sun also went onto win the Canadian Bowl at Regina for their third national championship also winning in 1988 and 2000.

The last time the Saints organization was in this game was in 2017 when they hosted and lost to the Saskatoon Hilltops.

Kick-off on Saturday November 9th is set for 7:00pm at Acumen Stadium on the campus of St. Clair College in Windsor.
